Inequality for All - enlightening video...

Is it just me, or does Economics often turn out to be counterintuitive?

It seems to me, the more I learn, the more I see it that way.  It's easy for people to fool others, or even themselves, because simple logic and good economic policy seem to have an inverse relationship.
This seems to clear up the "trickle down economics" theory, which seems to work somewhat under certain circumstances, but not under our current circumstances.

Two things seem most important to me, that this video reinforces:

Lobbying allows rich people & corporations the ability to influence government to an unacceptable level, which perpetuates the problem of income disparity, whereby the rich get richer and the middle and lower class share more and more burden to the point of breaking.

We right the rules that govern us, and have the ability to change them, and companies & elites will work within those rules.  But we have allowed too much influence and rewrite from the same, allowed them too much room to make things worse by making even more money, entrenching their wealth.

(big sidetrack, as a meta-analysis of a covid19 treatment was published and peer reviewed so my focus must be there to help save more lives!  a cheap, safe, and very effective treatment for covid19 relieves the problems from inequity for those who can't afford, or have to wait a long time to get the vaccine where they live, or for their situation, etc)
