then someone must have been planning what to say when this comes up, how to diffuse or confuse the situation, how to gaslight the people into thinking it is something benign, not big enough to change results, or whatever else they think will work.

Doubt anyone is actually reading this, but there appear to be over 250,000 ballots MISSING from the AZ audit. Trump only lost the state by less than 11,000 votes?
willing to bet money that it's mostly "absentee" ballots, aka they do not exist, and they were not able to "insert" the fake ballots into the existing batches in time, or thought they were past the time that they had to worry about doing it any longer.
News for them, everyone will be paying attention to every election going forward, and this will never be allowed to happen again.
